The Norton Upgrade Patch was designed to be a tool that will remove the registry entries that were added during the Windows XP Service Pack 3 or Windows Vista SP 1 upgrade.

這個工具主要用途是、一般使用者升級到 Windows XP Service Pack 3 或 Windows Vista Service Pack 1。
與 現有 Norton 2008 系列產品 發生不相容和不穩定情形發生，造成的現象為無法無線上網、及一些網路驅動程式消失等。
這個工具可以解決使用者升級到 Windows XP Service Pack 3 或 Windows Vista Service Pack 1。增加在 Windows XP Service Pack 3 或 Windows Vista Service Pack 1 的 Norton 2008 系列產品修正升級。
這個修正程式只適合 Norton 2008 系列產品。
目前其他 Norton 系列產品，則沒有這個問題。
